How to copy a Business Central production environment to a sandbox environment

You might be thinking to yourself, "why would I ever want to copy a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central production environment to a sandbox environment?" I'd like to answer your question with a question, "why would you not?" Being able to copy a BC production environment to a BC sandbox environment enables you to troubleshoot, test apps, test processes, can be used for training, and anything else you or your Microsoft Business Central partner want. Also, copying a BC environment is much easier than you probably think and involves less than 5 steps.
Here is how to copy a Business Central production environment to a Business Central sandbox environment.
Step 1: Within the Business Central Admin page select the production environment that you wish to copy.

Step 2: Select Copy from the ribbon.

Step 3: Specify your new environment's name and type.

Step 4: Select Copy
Once the copy process has finished you'll see a new environment listed in your environments tab.
