5 Reasons Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is the One for Your Business

If you've begun researching ERP software and did a high-level dive into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central then you already know some of the main selling points. Things such as Business Central is an easy-to-use software that helps manage your business finances and operations, it's easily customizable and scalable, so it can grow with your business, and that it's Microsoft's most popular ERP software offering. What I'd like to bring to your attention through this article, if I may, are a few things you might not have come across. Here are 5 reasons Business Central is the one for your business:

1. Get the best of both worlds: on-premises and cloud

Dynamics 365 Business Central is available both as an on-premises solution and in the cloud. This gives you the flexibility to choose the deployment option that makes the most sense for your business.

Why is this important? Even though Microsoft is a cloud first organization within a cloud first world, believe it or not, there are still many organizations that prefer to use on-premise software. This may be because their organization is located in a rural part of town where highspeed internet is not available or maybe they don't want to rely on Microsoft to provide security for their data and feel more comfortable controlling this aspect themselves.

*Special note: If you are a current Business Central on-premise or Microsoft Dynamics NAV customer you can upgrade to a subscription that grants you dual usage rights. This way, you can continue to use your on-premise software while having access to the cloud version.

2. Access from anywhere, on any device

Dynamics 365 Business Central online is a true cloud solution, which means you can access it from anywhere, on any device. All you need it an internet connection.

3. Enjoy a robust partner ecosystem

Business Central has a robust partner ecosystem, which means there are plenty of experts who can help you get the most out of the ERP software. Why is this beneficial? Well, if you had to contact Microsoft directly and navigate through their vast support channels it could be days or weeks before you receive the correct answer to your question.

With a vast partner ecosystem, the Microsoft partner becomes your first line of defense so to speak. Meaning, they will try to provide you with the proper support before reaching out to Microsoft. In the few cases where the Microsoft partner is unable to help you, there is not a need to worry. They still have a direct line to Microsoft and don't have to navigate through all the different channels as you would so, it's inherently quicker to get your issue resolved.

To sum this up, the partner ecosystem allows you to directly benefit from Microsoft’s world-class support. That means you can rest assured knowing that help is always available when you need it.

4. Business Central integrates with other Microsoft products, so you can get the most out of your investment.

It's no secret that Microsoft software is some of the most used software on the planet. According to Financial Post, over 1 billion people worldwide use a Microsoft Office product or service. That means that you're most likely using some sort of Microsoft software at work today. Wouldn't it be nice to know that your ERP software integrates directly with your other Microsoft software? Absolutely! Now, I know what you're saying. You're saying, "Michael, lot's of other ERP software claims to integrate with Microsoft software." To which I say, "That's a good point but would you rather have Microsoft ERP software integrating with Microsoft software or some third party ERP software integrating with Microsoft software? It's a no-brainer as to which is going to work better."

5. Highest ROI within the ERP industry.

Here is an article I wrote previously that dives into specifics of Business Central's ROI compared to other ERP software. Just know that the average ROI for ERP software is $7.23 and that Business Central's ROI is more than double this!
