Adding a New Unit of Measure in D365 for Financials

Updated: Aug 3, 2021

Update: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials has been rebranded into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

In this blog post I will show you how to add a new Unit of Measure to the system.

The easiest way to access the Units of Measure is to use the global search feature.

By selecting Units of Measure you can now view the list of all Units of Measure defined in the system.

In this example we want to add Pounds (LBS). To do this we select new and enter in our information.

It's that simple. We have now created the new unit of measure which we can now use to assign to items or price records within the system. To save the change, close the window and continue.
