Let's assume the company has a standard sales process of quote to order or invoice.
Tasks such as entering new quotes, orders and invoices can be achieved directly from the homepage.
Providing quick links directly on the homepage, Dynamics 365 for Financials enables users to quickly access the most common tasks they perform daily.
*Quick Tip: In some SMB companies entering order or invoice is a single step and may not require a quote.

Step 2: Send to customer by email
Next, send the Quote via email by clicking the button on the ribbon.
Immediately users see a familiar experience - documents such as Invoices, Quotes and Orders created using Microsoft Word.
Using Microsoft Word significantly reduces the learning time for users to personalize their external, customer-facing documents.
Step 3: Convert Quote to Invoice
Let's assume the customer agrees to the terms outlined on the Sales Quote. Both customer and you agree to the arranged price and details. You want to convert the quote to a Sales Invoice.

Convert the quote to an invoice
The invoice has been created based on the auto-assign feature and is assigned the next invoice number.
Finalize the sales document. This step updates your books/accounts and inventory.
In addition to finalizing the sales document you can send the document to your customer (based on the default settings in their customer profile).
Enabling accounting to either post or post+send directly from the ribbon is quick and easy and allows them to expedite and complete the process.

Enter as many, or as few, parameters as necessary to access current customer information. Set Report Output to preview which displays the report on the screen and filter by a single customer
